Online English Courses for Adults
If your objective is to improve your overall level of English, the online General English course is for you. Study, practise and improve your speaking, listening, writing, reading, vocabulary, grammar, functional English and pronunciation with structured, interactive exercises. Our online English for International Tourism course could make all the difference. Available at B1 and B2 levels on the Common European Framework, this short, structured course will give you the confidence you need to communicate effectively with English-speaking tourists. English Speaking Practice and Live Classes
Do you want to practise speaking in English with our English teachers? Choose a version of the course with teacher support for live individual classes. In these versions of the courses, we will assign you a personal English teacher who will answer your questions and practise speaking with you during the course.
The speaking tutorials are 25-minute conversations with your teacher. The day and time of your speaking tutorials is flexible. You can book your tutorial with your teacher on the online calendar.
If you want extra speaking tutorials, just select the number of classes you would like from the options available when you sign up for a course.

Speaking and Pronunciation Tools
Do people ever ask you to repeat yourself when you’re speaking in English? In all courses you will have access to an English Pronunciation Tool which helps you pronounce each of the different phonemes correctly in English. You will see a model to copy, then you can practise the phoneme on its own, in a word and in a sentence. You can also compare the phoneme with other similar phonemes.
In the General English course, we include speech recognition exercises to work on your speaking fluency and pronunciation. And, in each unit we include two tasks for you to practise speaking with our friendly AI Chatbot, Sam.
You can also select any text in the course and listen to it. You can select a British English accent or an American English accent.
Grammar Reference, Dictionary and Business Centre
We include a comprehensive, level-specific, English Grammar Reference so you can consult any grammar question you might have.
You also get access to an online multi-lingual dictionary. And any of the online course material can be selected and translated into your own language with our in-built translation tools.
The online English Business Centre is a great resource for people who need to use English in a work context. It includes useful business English vocabulary, templates for writing business correspondence in English, links to work-related articles, podcasts and videos.

Skills Based Course Design
Our courses are designed so you actively discover and use new language rather than just memorising rules. Each unit builds your skills step by step through practical tasks and real-life communication. Learning is maximised when learners are provided with tools and opportunities to use language creatively, covering major topic areas, focusing on the four skills and major language and vocabulary areas, and including notional areas, for example, hypothesising, or expressing possibility, common to the selected text types and topics.
Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing Development
Courses are designed using a text-based, task-based, multi-layered syllabus that interweaves grammatical, lexical and phonological components, as well as a focus on each of the four language skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking.
Practical and Task Driven Learning

An inductive approach to grammar, also called discovery learning, involves the process of working out rules on the basis of examples. Inductive learning is believed to be the way that the rules of a first language are internalised. The mental effort invested by learners in working out rules for themselves helps the long-term memory of these rules and the assimilation of new language.
